Fargo Area

My son recently moved to Fargo. I've never fished for Cats but really want to give it a shot. I plan on being there in Sept. and Oct for a couple days. Any recs, advice etc would be great.!

Hey Hibbing, you should post this question on the Red river forum maybe. We have a few folks that post there regular from around the Fargo area and a couple of them are good about helping with info. The Red has some darn good Catfishing, the catching verges on downright easy at times! I consider September about the best month for getting those BIG Catfish. Bring heavy tackle anyhow, there are some WHOPPERS in there!

I also work at the Fargo Gander Mtn store so stop in and I'll show you some tips and tricks to get you on the right path here on the Red.

I agree, Sept/Oct is good Cat'n and also some very good walleye here on the Red River basin. Should be a very good fall!

Stop in and say Howdy I am in the fishing dept most days..but not all. I will be in Canada most of next week.
