Wausau

I recently moved to Wausau Wisconsin and am looking for some lakes to fish in the area. All I have heard about is Lake Wausau and Lake DuBey. Does any one know about some good smaller lakes in area. I don't care what species...just want to catch fish!

Not sure if you're talkin about fishing from a boat or from shore, but I will say after having been in WI for only one year(school), I had a lot of fun fishing the WI river. I know you asked about lakes, but those I know very little about in the area so far. As far as the river goes, I caught lots of eyes, smallies, pike, and even a few fat cats.

I spend a lot of my time on the river, too. There's also Big Eau Pleine, but that's pretty green in summer.

I wonder how many of us there are in this area, and if we could stage our own mini-get-together somewhere.
