Colors for stained water?

I am heading to Eagle Lake in Canada next week. Planning on picking up some new additions to the T-box. I've heard about using dark colors in dark water. Does that make sense for triggering the big pigs.

Eagle isn't too stained on the north end, but gets worse towards the outlet.

Any thoughts?

Black and orange worked great for us last week. Get some smaller bucktails and topwater in the said colors and you'll hardly have a need for anything else. Good luck!

I've had great success with yellow/chartuce spinner bait and bucktail on that lake in the past. For pike anyway. Seemed to gobble it up like candy.

Can't go wrong with a Black and Orange combo.If throwing bucktails add a Glowtail. In stained water I like throwing big baits with rattles. Let those lures make some noise.
