I just read the article about this way to rig for bass fishing in Minnesota Sportsman. For the life of me I can't see how it would be any better than the "slip bobber" we have been using for years. In fact with a slip bobber, you don't need a long rod and it is easier to set the hook with a slip bobber than a fixed bobber which the "float & fly is. So what's the fuss about?
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there,but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
