Bow?

I looking for a used bow to start out bowfishing? I've never done this before, so all advice would be appreciated?

What things should I look for in a bow?

How about a reel?

Anything else I should know?

To start i would recomend just about any cheap compound will work,i set mine at 55 pounds and use a release...for a reel if you dont want to spend alot you could get the wrap up by hand kind for about 18 bucks with an arrow not good for alot of shots but cheap,i use an ams retriever got it for about 55 bucks at Fleet, and to be safe and help prevent whip lash or snap backs you should use ams saftey slides vs. tieing to the back of arrow but it's your call just my 0.02

p.s. Be careful this sport if very addicting and can take tim out of your walleye fishing time

You might want to check out Muzzy Broadheads HSOforum- Muzzy dot com. The folks at Muzzy are really into bowfishing. They have all sorts of cool stuff. Definitely worth a looksee.

Someday I'll get into this.
