Clear lake area (during rodeo)

Making the yearly trip to the rodeo and thought about bring the boat. Anything happening on Clear, Alice, Cocrane, or anyother area lake. I've caught northerns from shore on Clear before. Any info would be appeciated.

I was there on Friday afternoon, for about 4 hours, and did not catch a fish. Fished several areas from shore. On the northwest side where the water runs in from the slough--it was running out of the lake into the slough. The kid I fished with for awhile had caught 4 eyes on Thursday, by the culvert. He was using a red and white deredevil. That has been the hot lure.

I saw several northerns taken on smelt with a fathead kicker.

how was the weeds? thick or no problem.

By the culverts on the east and northwest I never pulled a weed. I casted from the dock in the park and there were a lot of weeds. I am not sure how wide the weed line is. The shore (smelt) fishers were fishing on the inside of the weedline.

Nice ramp and dock in the city park.
