Blowing fuses on trailer lights... any suggestions?

I have a trailer thats blowing the 20 amp fuse for the running lights, the fuse for brake & turns are o.k. The lights will stay on for a few moments then blow the fuse. I then went to a 25 amp fuse, at first the lights went out, then came back on and now stay on. I'm confused on what could be my problem here. I'ts an '01 shorelander r24.

I had the same problem when I crossed the wires from the truck to the boat.

A short to ground is what causes a fuse to blow or a bad ground can some times do it to. Check all wires from your truck to the taillights (all light for that fact) then check the bulb holder where you plug the bulbs in. Rust can form and cause a short. A pinched wire to the trailer frame can make it blow one time and not the next. Pull the wire a little at the toung and feel if it catches on anything. Also unplug your lights when you go into the water, that can short also. Lastly check the white (ground) wire from your truck to the trailer is nice and good screwed good to the trailer. Good luck
