Bottom Line Tournament Master HR

fishtrap3

Question

I am thinking transducer is shot and wondering if it is worth the hundred some dollars for a new one. When unit is on it will lose bottom for a second then come back then lose bottom for a second. Sometimes it works with no problems. When it does this the transducer starts clicking really loud then quiets then gets loud. Anyone have or had this unit? Any other problems? Or should I just stick the money into a new unit like the humminbird matrics?

thanks fishtrap3

I have the Tournament Master SF and have had somewhat the same problem for years. Frequently the depth reading will lock on 6ft when trolling bars deep to shallow or vise versa. I have to shut the unit off and power back up most times. Happns a few times during the day. How can you hear the transducer when it's in the water?

Bottom Line has had some issues with their product from the get go. Used to fish Bottom Line for about 6 years, 3 different units, and got sick of turning it on and off. All 3 machines had the same problem and all 3 were different models. Stepped up to a Lowrance and loved it. This year went to a Humminbird 987. Incredible!
