Bear Hunting in Area 51

Hello,

I drew a tag for area 51. I would like to find someone to either guide or bait for me somewhere in area 51. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've called a few people on the list of registered guides on the DNR web page. The ones I've talked seem to have a larger operation and get $$$ for it. Just wondering if anyone has any more affordable suggestions.

Swampcollie, Where abouts are you looking to hunt in Area 51? I hunt the north side of Nemadji and have to bait for our group of 4. It is a lot of work just getting bait not to mention finding a spot to hunt due to the fact there is so many hunters in our area we hunt. We also have to compete with riders in the area also which can be frustrating at times. I don't know of anyone in our area but will let you know if I hear anything.

In the past, I have hunted around McGregor, my inlaws have a cabin there I stay at. I'm willing to do some driving from the cabin to a stand site, so I can probably make just about anything work. It's either going to be just me, or my brother and I hunting this year.

We can usually scrounge a fair amount of bait. In the past we've usually ended up with a fair amount of dog food, bread, pastries, meat scraps, apples, and honey.

What would be ideal for us is to find someone who has some bait sites and can bait for a good amount of bait in return and a reasonable price.

If you have any ideas, I'd sure appreciate them.
