canon downrigger auto up?

evntam

Question

I've had my electric canons for about 15 years. They are supposed to come all the way up to the water surface by themselves. Now, I have two that won't do that. I have no idea what's wrong. I have to hold the switch manually to have them come up.

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks.

Ev

Cannon uses an ON-OFF-(ON)momentary switch. It is likely the switch is faulty inside. I do believe Russ sells them a the marine general, and they are not cheap about $15-20. the On-OFF-(On) in a DPDT switch is not something found at an auto parts store, so go see Russ.
