Piscatorially

Depending on where you coming from, a person could launch from an Ashland, Washburn, or Bayfield boat ramp and make it to the Bad. I would only recommend making this trip if the forecast calls for good weather and calm to calmer winds depending on your boat. Just zoom down the north side of Long Island through the South Channel and you will be to the mouth. From there, you have access to wherever you want to fish in the river. Again, I stress good weather to make this trip, as it can be rough going if the wind picks up (especially north winds) as it is pretty open out there.

For rules and regs, they fall under the Lake Superior regulations found on pages 60 and 61 in the pamphelet, but you need to recognize that it is a tributary and the opening and closing dates for some species are different then the main lake. If you look at the pamphelet you will see the differences in dates, the size limits and bag limits are the same.
