Question

HI, I am looking to buy a trolling motor for my husband for Father's Day. He's got a 1988 19 foot Bayliner, fiberglass outboard. I don't know anything about trolling motors or even what pounds of thrust means. How much pounds of thrust do I need for a 19 foot boat? Please Email me or post [email protected]

I would want at least 74#'s.

For that size an MinnKota 80 pd/ap, would be a good choice. That is if he has room for 2 batteries for a 24 volt system.

I would almost always say get the most you can afford.

Your husband is a lucky man.
