I would like some help with anything that swims out there. Girlfriend has a cabin out there and I will be out there some weekend soon. Anything possible with walleyes, bass, or muskies? I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Haven't been to Wappo in a while, but used to fish there for a week every year when I was younger. For crappies, find weeds and toss red/white or purple/white tubes - slow, steady retrieve. Fish shorelines for bass on topwater in evenings. For eyes, go with a slip bobber and jumbo leech - we used to fish the western part of the lake, sorta near the spillway. Several humps surrounded by 30ft or so of water, should be on a lake map. Keep your eyes open for white bass bustin bait on top!

They do pretty well pullin raps on the north end of Wapi this time of year. I never had much luck for the Waldo's on BearTrap but I can tell you there's some real nice bull gills in that lake. Get in that bay and find some weeds. They should be snappin this time of year.

If I remember right, some of the shallower humps top out around 10ft and will have some weed growth later. I believe there are 3 separate humps. Around 15ft deep seemed to work good, but you gotta experiment some. Do you have a lake map and does it show those humps?

went out to wapo on last night, fished around the island on the north end and off the humps, on nice small mouth, no walleyes. I marked a lot of fish but no luck. anyone else having any luck out there.

I spent last weekend out there. Caught plenty of bass in the thick weeds on bear trap, biggest were going 3lbs. Worked all weekend for a muskie and never saw a fish. Above anything I would love to hook into a muskie out here and if anyone could help that would be great. I never did spend too much time on wapo, mostly just stayed on bear trap. The bass were definatly shallow and in the thick, slugos and frogs on top were the best.
