Will a summer transducer from and FL8 work on and FL18?

I am not sure the details yet, but my brother in law called tonight to see if I was interested in a trolling moter mounted summer ducer from and FL8. I do not know the cone angle, age, or model from which it came, but should know more tomorrow.

I own and FL18 and would love to use it this summer on my boat, but I dont want to plug something in to it that will damage it in any way.

Yes all the FL series flashers transducers are interchangeable.
