Mister Twister
I'm trying to find the best fitting prop for a 135 Honda 4-stroke. I had a 19" pitch put me at about 5600 RPM's and 44mph. Put on a 17" pitch and the RPM's stayed the same but MPH dropped to 40. Any advice on this would be great.
0 upnorth
You need to find out the recommended RPM range for the motor either in the manual or somewhere on the web, the iboats site may have that info if you search their forums.Changing 2 inches of prop should have dropped your RPM by around 400. Not too sure why it wouldn't have. My guess is that the 19 pitch would be the prop you need unless you have problems out of the hole comeing on plane. 0 Hooked On a Feeling
I agree, that 19" sounds perfect for your motor. I believe those honda's run around the 6000 rpm range, your probably getting the most out of that 135. Maybe try stainless at the 19" pitch?Hooked
0 Mister Twister
Thanks for the help. I'll go back to the 19 and try it in stainless. Let you know how it turns out.
