We were there last weekend, got skunked. Cold, rain, snow, and heavy winds made things difficult. There was also a huge mayfly hatch that didn't help things. I would head to pickerel or Bitter if I were going back out there.

I was out to Waubay this morning before the rains came and did okay. Three of us picked up 22 fish in 3 hours. 12-14 feet of water, white jigs, tipped with a minnow. Not a great bite but we did manage to keep our 6 and get off the water in time to get some work done at home. It has slowed considerably since a few weeks ago. Watch for the bite to pick up when we get some 80 degree days.

We are leaving Friday afternoon to head out there, mainly want to try to get some crappies and walleye as a back up. Any advice for a first timer on the lake?
