Long Gray Line
Well, there are no bait shops right near the lake. The nearest would probably be in Princeton or Zimmerman if you're coming up from the south. I use the launch on the NE side of the lake, the DNR did a lot of work on it last fall. The lake is pretty featureless as far as bottom. There's a point/weed flat on the NE side, a weed edge on the N/NW side that drops off from 9 to 22'. You'll see lots of boats working those areas. The places to work are the weed edges all around the lake. Sorry but I'm not giving up the crappie honey holes tho'. Traffic can get pretty heavy sometimes but it's still a fun lake. By the way, welcome to FM! Great place to get good info!
Slyster
This is the lake my parents had a cabin on and I fished mainly from the dock.. lots of sunnies and perch. North side near the creek. Supposedly.. good northerns near the creek. Of the big eastern sand point I always heard was the hot crappie spot. Never tried myself.
