How well does this heater work inside a FT 2 or a clam classic 5x6 compared to a regular sunflower heater. Does the fan assist help make the heater feel like it is a higher rated BTU?

My buddy and I used one last week in a 2 person flip house and although it was a little warmer inside than out, I was not real impressed. I still needed to wear gloves and when we turned on the fan, it felt like cold air was circulating. I believe the Procat says it kicks about 3,000 BTU. I am thinking of getting the Coleman recatangle looking one with the handle on top. I believe that one kicks out 4,000 btu on one setting and 9,000 on the higher setting. A sunflower will be much warmer that the Procat.
