95 Alumacraft competitor 170 s/c

Hello,

I recently bought the above mentioned boat with a 1998 Tracker by Merc, 115 hp. Anyone have a similar set-up, any pro's or con's, or other experiences? Prior to purchasing the engine checked out well. I hope it floats!!

I have a 93 170SC Competitor with a 60 hp motor. I love the boat, but I would really like to upgrade the motor. 60hp is fine for most of the fishing I do, but it would be nice to move a little quicker from spot to spot. I did a few modifications, I added on two platforms to the transom of the boat for casting. I really like the set up of the boat. Livewell, Baitwell, built in tacklebox, dry storeage, battery storage, and a nice size compartment for a softsided cooler. I just wish it had a better rod compartment. 3 rods max.
