0 Blackduck
We like to keep the weight down, so we just put that high density foam (yellow or pink) in between the ribs on the floor, then put a light weight vinyl type flooring over that. (I don't think it's actually vinyl, it's more ridgid) I don't remember what it's called, but it's light and sold in 4x8 sheets so 1 sheet is all you need. We then put indor/outdoor carpet over that. We then use a few self tapping screws with washers to hold it all down. It lasts us about 5 years, and that is over 100 days on the water per year. 40 of those duck hunting, so it gets beat up bad with all the water, mud, dog in and out, etc... We also keep our john boats outside without covers. I would think the average person would get a lot more than 5 years out of this set up, and you save a bunch of weight. Hope that helps?
