Deer stand

Has anyone ever built a deer stand out of pallet racking? I have access to some and a few of my coworkers and I were brainstorming about making a stand out of it. Anyone ever try it or know of someone who has?

I've mad a couple out of uni-strut, which is similar. Nice and solid but you better have an ATV to get it to your spot. I assembled mine then welded some of the key joints. After it cooled I primed and painted it. One word of advice.... use a wood floor and steps or get some non-skid pads. That metal is like ice on a frosty morning.

No, I don't. I could slap togather a sketch and e-mail it to you if you'd like. I made two styles. One is a freestanding stand that is 12' high and has hard sides on three sides. The other is similar design to a chain on portable stand. Feel free to e-mail me rnikko (at) comcast (dot) net
