Hopefully last question on runners

I got the material i need but was wondering what to line the inside of the tub where i will be screwing the runners into...do i screw them just to the tub or should i put something to reinforce the screws? also i have 1/4 think runners and was wondering what length of screws to use? as you can tell im not very handy thanks for any help,slabs

Measure the thickness of the sled and the thickness of the nut, it should be just at or just longer than the nut once in place. Your shouldn't neet much for added re-inforcement but your could always use a washer if you wanted.

I purchased otter runners for my fish trap guide, I use a piece of carpet on the floor to cover the nuts and keep things from rolling around in the sled.
