I am not sure if we can help you fast enough.A friend of mine just bought one on the internet and hopefully he has it early next week and we can try it out next weekend.It is the new type that has a self contained battery,supposedly the battery is the same as a vexilar battery.To bad the ice isn't 2' or more to give it the real test but I am sure it will work fine.I'll let you know how the new auger works later.
