Lake Independence

I have been fishing on lake Independence and all i catch is a lot of very little crappies. Dose anyone know where to go to catch the big ones.

I don't know the lake but what I found is sometimes you have to move to find them. i have found out even a couple of feet can make a big difference. I don't know why.

A couple years ago, later in the season, we found some good Crappies on Indepenence. They were in the deep 55 foot plus hole about 1/2 mile out from the park landing. They were suspended at 30 to 35 feet. It was a daytime bite,often about noon. We drilled a lot of holes to follow the fish, and anything you bring up from that depth isn't going back. I went back there last year and only found them once in that location. So it might not be a usual place for them, but its worth a shot.
