tonyjor
Does anyone know if Pike have a set migratory pattern by day or year. I've always seem to have caught them on the weed edges in about 8-10 fow in the early morning. As of lately, I can't seem to find them. I maybe get a flag or two after sitting all day, but I want to get into a nice group of them. Do they set up deep during the morning til noon this time of year? Or do they freely roam eveywhere on the entire water column. I heard that they can get really shallow right before ice-out, but I can't fish for them then. do they set up in deep water off a tip of a point or to the inside or outside edge? Any help is greatly appreciated as I am taking my friend who's lived in MN 23 years and never ice fished. I want him to hook into a nice pike and see what it's like. We'll be using 4-8" shiners on QS rigs under tip ups. The lake is a small lake with a 36 foot deep trench and one point. Thanks again to anyone that can help.
