Bob_D
I took the day off on Friday to fish with my friend Tom. I did not have high hopes with it being a bright sunny day right after a major storm, but it still was better then work so we gave it a try. We headed out and searched for perch. We tried a few spots on the way out to one of my marks, but they did not product many fish. We got onto the mark we were planning to fish and started to hit a few. It was a slow pick, but I managed 3/4 of a bucket of perch and Tom got his 1/2 bucket. We set out 10 tip-ups to see if we could get a little pike action while we were perch jerkin'. We only did 10 because the wind was cranking and the snow was deep, and we wanted to catch perch. Tom took the first flag and landed this pike. It was a very clean and healthy fish, so she went back down the hole. A little later was my turn. Another nice fish that went back into the water. All and all a good day on the ice. Better fishing then I expected for the weather. The company was good as always.
