Two Harbors Area Fishing

Hey fellas,

I'm looking for a little assistance in finding a good lake for some crappie or walleye ice fishing action with an hour or so of Two Harbors. I'm staying at Grand Superior about 10 miles north of Two Harbors and would like to find another activity other than watching waves roll in on Superior.

If it matters, I'm strictly a CPR fisherman.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Well you sure picked a great place to stay! (kinda byased as I work there). Best bet would be Lax Lake. Locals report good things there although I have never fished it. There is a good bout of Salmon fishing going on right now on the North Shore back south of Two Harbors also leaves you a chance of catching a "Looper".

Hey Cheffrey (Tom),

This is Todd, Garofalos son-in-law. Haven't seen you since we were sipping a bottle of Screaming Eagle at their 40th wedding anniversary last year in the conference room at GS. Hope all is well!

It's not set in stone yet, but me and a couple buddies are looking at coming up next weekend and fishing all day Saturday. I talked to John and he was able to get Garofalo's unit 415 for us. If you are available to go fishing (ice, loopers, or otherwise) let me know. I'm open to fishing for anything, just looking for some good action.

I haven't been on this HSOforum in a couple years because there was always so much bickering. Since I never fished that area I thought I would give it a whirl and see if I could get some info. Small world!

I also have a couple weekends in the summer booked to give the open water on the big lake a try.

Nice to hear from you, maybe I'll see you next weekend!
