sonar/gps+waas

I'm looking into buying a sonar unit with gps/waas capabilities for my boat. Would like a unit that records and also accepts lake map cards. Does anyone have any favorites? I know it is going to cost me some $$$.$$.

Lowrance is your best choice. If you want to record and view your map at the same time get one with 2 MMC card bays. One bay for your map chip and one bay for your recording chip. I have the LMS-330c and love it. It has only 1 slot but that's not an issue for me. Get a color screen too. They are awesome.

I too have the LMS480 with the topo chip in it.. Simply love it!!!! Great unit for the money!

RonZyck, I also have the 330c.Its a great unit. I used a different color trail each of 5 different days on our Canadian trip last year. Over 50 miles each day and only used 9000 of 100,000. points to save my trails. Really easy to see ,even in the brightest sun.Also coming out with a ice fishing set up so it can be used in the winter. Good Fishing DrJ.

DrJ, Where did you see an ice set up for the 330c? I am getting the 332c 480x480 pix that just came out and thinking already how to use it on the ice, for the mapping part with the chip to find spots better then drilling 50 holes?

18 inch Crappie, I called Lowrance when I read about the 67 ice machine to see if the system would work with the 330C. He said the power hook up was different. He also said they were going to have a package soon for the 330. Includes battery,soft case,charger and ice transducer with positioning bracket. Hope this helps DrJ. PS. About $150 for set up.
