HELP

I am looking for poles for a Clam sleeper house. A friend of mine has one and the main poles have snapped off at the curves. Does anyone know where I can find some at? Contacted the manufactor and they quit making this model and don't have any left in stock.

Any possiblity of using metal conduit and making one of your own? A little caution, or better yet if you know an electrician or maintanence guy, they would have the bending tool for conduit.

I mentioned using conduit, stated it would be stronger than the aluminum. But he wants to try and find stock poles. Afraid home made ones wouldn't look and work right.

Has he tried to contact Clam? They might be a bit spendy, but at least he'll know they'll work. www.the-clam.com

There is no reason poles made from conduit wont look or work right. I have done it myself. One other thing, who really cares what it looks like? Have you seen some of the shacks out on the ice lately??
