deputydan
The last 2x's I've been out fishing, my vexilar (fl-8) hasn't graphed my bait (presentation) the way it has in the past. I have to turn my gain way up just to see my bait. My battery has been charged and nothing has changed in the way that I've fished (depths/jigs). Is this a transducer issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Northlander
My 1st guess would be your battery has gone bad and doesnt hold a charge any longer. Second would be a dirty ducer. 3rd would be a bad ducer. If your still reading fish and bottom it could be in the style of lure your using. Go to Interstate or Batteries plus or someone who can test your 12 volt and see what they say about your battery. Im betting its a wore out battery. deputydan
Thanks for the quick response, I'll take your advice. Maybe it's as simple as my battery isn't holding a full charge.
icehousebob
Dan, if you live in the metro area, you can take it to the Vexilar service center and they'll check it and tank test it while you wait. They're repairs are reasonable and quite often free. They're good people to deal with.
