Mikinaak
I'm back from my Minnesota trip. No big northerns but did bring home are limit of walleyes. The son had a great time caughting eelpout on lake-of-the-woods. We fished 11 mile sunday morning for a few hours saw many small rainbows, the son missed a nice 5lb. plus rainbow, oh well more experience!!!! Does any one know how they did saturday with the contest? My favorite spot was pounded with fresh holes and blood on the ice. So I know someone caught fish. John19
The offical results are posted on the state parks site, under fishing. A team won 1,288 dollars , and only weighed 2 fish. One 2.5lb salmon, was the only one weighed for the tourney, and a 1lb. pike, which took smallest pike. I think they ended up taking 3rd or 4th for total pike.
