Where do the Northerns hold this time of year?

Are the Northerns still in shallower areas (12 ft. and less) in the weeds or do they go to deeper water structure this time of year?

Find the short shallow weeds and they will be there.

Heck they are most everywere now and then.

It has been my experence over the years that any sudden break in the structure, say 10 ft., bottom drops off a ft. to say 11 ft. is a good place to set a tip up. level bottom in 15 or 16 sudden break is even better, the pike run the edge of the break just like the weed line, I think it give them a little cover to ambush prey. hope this helps someone.
