ice on pistakee?

anyone out there know if there is safe ice on pistakee? i would like to get out there again but don't want to waste the hour drive if no ice. take care and good fishin'.

well i had to answer my own question, and it is a suprising yes. a good 6" as of Saturday. take care and good fishin'.

Thanks Nate. Were you on the south end or towards the hotels?

Bhorn, everyone that was fishing on saturday were towards the hotel end. there looked like there was a patch of soft ice in the middle of the bay but that didn't stop a snowmobiler flying by. So, i would assume the south end would be good as well. Let me know if you are going to go sometime this week, if you night fish, and i will try and meet you out there. take care and good fishin'.

I am thinkning about hitting the west bay this weekend
