56-million modulus graphite, IM-8, what???

When purchasing a rod, they always give a bunch or technical specs such as those listed in the subject. But who knows which is better, an IM-8 rod, or a 62-million modulus rod, or is a 56 much better than a 62. Are there higher qualities than those mentioned earlier?

I'm sure someone knows how to decipher all of this jargon.

Here is a pretty informative article on modulus. IM6, IM7, IM8, etc. are basically grade levels based on modulus that some manufacturer's use.
