Anyone using the XP for icefishing?I currently use powerpro 10/2 and was going to order some but I see the XP is a little more bang for the buck. They look similar is the XP just as good?

Do you use bobbers w/ Power Pro? I have had problems with bobber stops sliding by the "bumps" on PP's line.

I have tried the superlines and have found not much use for them on ice. When you only have 5-20' of line out 90% of the time, I haven't found a great deal of difference in sensitivity. And I like the less visibility of mono and flouro.

Sorry I couldn't help answer your question.

I use it mostly on jigging rods but I know what you mean about bobber stops sliding. What I really like is the no memory wich will put more fish in the bucket when the bite is light.Ive proved this to more than one person.

When you are using the Power Pro, are you guys panfishing? I want to try it for gills and crappie, but I am unsure on whether it will spook fish. Currently I use a high vis gold in 2# and it is great, but I need to respool my reels this year.

I have some Tuf-line and it does not seem to be as thghtly woven as the power pro. Granted this is 65# stuff, but it looks more like dacron then it does power pro. I think IO would stick to power pro for ice fishing.

If you have a sensitive rod for a jigging rod and team it up with PowerPro Ice you will feel the difference especially on light biters. PowerPro is a great product and doesn't fray light fireline.

I have Power Pro on my muskie rods, and loved it, so I just ordered the lighter ice line. I will let you know what I think after I try it out. I never thought of the bobber stop slipping, that will be an issue if it does happen. Then I'll just have to use that on my jigging rod only.
