wishahzafishin
Wanted to start a thread on Tonka. Plenty of Ice now for portables closer to shores - Saw guys out on Friday in Wayzata Bay, Laffeyette Bay and Grays bay. No news on fish but I'm eager to supply that soon enough!! Minnetonka
Was out both Friday and Saturday evenings on two differnt spots. (upper lake bays). I was marking some fish in 19-20 feet of water but no fish in 6 hours of fishing. Was using jigging spons (buck-shot) and jigging rap. I am curious how others are doing? All I would like to know is what depth and presentation?
MinnetonkaRealtor
I got out all 3 nights this weekend, the ice is really forming fast. Skunked on Friday and Saturday nights, didn't really fish too long though. Caught 4 great keeper walleyes between 14 and 18 inches. Main lower lake, 19 FOW, Buckshot rattle spoon on one rig, and a shiner beneath a bobber on the other rig. And I even managed to miss about 4 fish! schr0563
I had no luck on Excelsior Bay on Sunday evening. I was about a half mile off shore, on 5 inches of ice. We'll have 10 inches by Christmas if this forecast holds up.
