LED Lights

Not sure it matters all that much when it comes to charging a jig? I prefer the blue personally, they appear to me to be a bit brighter.

Intensity will charge a jig faster so I like a camera flash. The hi intensity blast from a flash gets it done fast and with less loss of your night vision, if your cautious. Bad deal is they eat up power fast and need to be recharged more often.

The LED lights out there now use less juice and last a season easy if you resist playing with them constantly. They are light and handy to clip on a jacket in comparison to a heavy and bulky camera flash unit. No matter what color you use the LED units are very functional and cost effective.

I did some testing of both the white and the blue LED's before I bought my winter stock for the shops. From what I saw, both colors charged the baits about the same and the glow lasted about the same amount of time with each light. Maybe it was just me but it seemed like the blue LED gave the glow bait a brighter glow right off the bat than the white but it's a tough call. I went with the blue ones to sell my dealers. At a couple bucks each, you won't go wrong with either.

I think it has more to do with the light output than the color but I could be wrong.

Some LED's are brighter than others and put out more lumens, however you usually don't have access to this info unless you buy the individual LED's yourself...
