fishingguy
I just finished my 6.5x12 fish house. And silly me I forgot to wire it so I could put in a couple small fans to help move the warm air. Was planning to, just forgot. Anyone know of fans that run on D,C, or 9volt batteries? How long do they last? Any other ideas? Thanks for any help!
Tahoe2349
Fishing Guy:I cant imagine the baterry plan being anything but a hassle. There all several types of 12V fans you can use from chrome truck type, to square frame plastic, or actual radiator fans. Not knowing your floor plan I'd run a hot line to a 12V plug or direct to the location you want a fan. There are always methods to figure out how to seclude the line out of sight, ie (under carpet, floor trim, ceiling trim, corner trim, behind paneling, conduit & clamps)
carpshooterdeluxe
NAPA sells a sweet oscillating 12 volt fan with a hi/lo/ off switch built in and a swivel head base making for some good mounting possibilities. it moves a lot of air and isnt very loud. Nutty Fisherman
I use a 24 volt fan and run it on 12 volts. You cannot hear it run. It runs slower then if it is on 24v, but still moves enough air. I did get it from work so I don't know what the cost would be. It is the same size that napa sells. TV BOY
I used two computer fans, which are 12volt. I went to radio shack, got 2 small toggle switches, soldered them in. placed one at each side of the house. Whisper quiet and they move some air and draw very little juice form the battery.
