Need help. Bought a new Johnson 140 4-stroke this spring. When we picked up the new boat and motor the dealer told us the engine should be brought in after 100 hours to have the valve spacing checked and if we did not it would void the warranty. Sounded fishy to me at the time(dealer looking for some extra service income). Does anyone know if this is a legitimate thing to have done on these motors?
