Speed

I have a very old computer system, and use Windows 95 with a slow 28800 dial up modem. It is slow, but always finishes, no Viagra needed. Point is, this new forum loads slower. It might be good for admin. to recommend what settings to use to get best speed for us oldies.

I already set My Home to not display sig info or pix. I think maybe it is not displaying Avatars either. But it looked like it loaded much quicker between screens. I might miss out on a whole lotta ugly, but that is what my mirror is for.

Any other suggestions to max out speed?
