Winipeg River vs. English River

We've been going to the Winipeg River system past Minaki near the WhiteDog dam the past few years. We fish from the WhiteDog **** to Rough Rock Lake and Sand Lakes.
We've heard reports about an area just downstream a bit where the English River connects to the Winipeg.
I'm looking for any information on this area that I can get. Including places to fish, how far past the WhiteDog dam to the English River, are there special Regulations (what spot in the regs do I check - presumming its the same area 22 but what special regs to watch?) and any tips on walleye spots and tactics. I've fished the English system before but LacSuel isn't even close to this spot...
I find it especially hard to find good maps of this area including fishing maps and driving maps online.

We're headed that way June 15th but not sure if we'll stop by Minaki again or keep going to the English river this year.

hmmmm - that didn't work so well.
Anyone out there familiar with the area I'm talking about? Any of you ever drive over the Whitedog dam - not easy to forget if you've been there.

If you are looking for maps of the Winnipeg river system Thorne Bros. has them. I just purchased maps that cover from Whitedog to Minaki and Minaki to Kenora as I will be up there in July and August for the first time. Have yet to look them over but hope this helps you out.
