looking for walleye

Just moved to Colorado awhile ago and looking for somewhere to possibly catch some walleyes from shore this weekend. Any pointer or tips would be awesome. thanks

when would be a good time or is there any type of fishing off shore that can be done this time of year. I am from Wisconsin so really only know lake fishing in that area

Your best chance is in the spring,as far as shore fishin in summer I dont do it ,I have a boat--good luck.

What part of the state are you living, and how far are you willing to travel?? Slayer is right on about the spring , altough fall can be good if it's not to windy. Right now is tough everywhere, especially from shore.

Best bet for walleyes from a shore situation would have to be the spillways on dams. I have caught quite a few dink, but did see an 8lber come out of the spillway at Chatfield. Throw minnows and cranks right in the whitewash (if there is any) or right off the cement. Also try minnows with just a split shot.
