Still waiting for the walleyes to turn on around the state. With all this warm weather, it shouldn't be too long. Caught a dozen trout and one very nice crappie belly boating at Boyd Friday evening. Man were there alot of water skiers already, a few made me pretty nervous. Jigging with a half of crawler did the trick. Most of the trout went 16 - 19inches.

Dan , I haven't had much luck at Boyd at all so far this year. One decent eye, and a few real dinks. Lonetree has been the place to go! I've limited the last two times out, 11 & 9 walleyes. nothing huge, but 5,16in. walleyes taste pretty darn good! The other two or three nights all produced 3 or 4 walleyes, and a couple of great wipers! Heading to Michigan tonight for the week, will be back on the 20th.

I was at Boyd yesterday at 5:30AM. Only caught four dinky wipers and a rainbow. Water was 63-64 degrees and most of the fisherman were on the north side of the lake. I was using Panther Martins, Krododiles and rubber crawlers in a harness. Fish were jumping all over the place in the early morning. Many were suspended in 15-20' of water.

Anyone else have any luck?

Regards,
Mike

Dan,

I must have passed by you several times yesterday then. Were you in a gray Fisher boat (I think there was also an orange dot on the motor)? I was in a green Lund with a Suzuki outboard. Or, if not, which boat were you?
