We worked the road bed pretty hard a week or so ago,but to no avail. I think the 'eyes were stillrecovering from all their amorous rigors. Anyone hit it recently?

Fished the road bed for a little while this morning. Caught a 17" eye in 15ft of water, east of the bridge. Caught it on a rig (blue) with an 8ft leader and a 1oz weight. Had to go heavy because the wind was terrible. Only fished the bed for about an hour before we got blown off. Caught an 18" smally up tight on the dam on jig & crawler. Think that the bite would have been descent on the bed if the wind wasn't so intense as to blow us off course constantly. Oh well, when you only have 1 day a week to fish, you can't be picky!

Hey Dan, I'm new on the board, fished the field only once, where's the roadbed. I'm retired and fish a lot, will keep ya posted on anything I do. Thanks alot.

The road bed extends from Deer creek to the big point west of the handi-cap fishing pier. Get yourself a map of the lake. It will help you out a lot. There are numerous gravel pits and hard to soft bottom transitions. None of which helped me on Sunday the 25th. SKUNKED!
