Open Water at Lonetree & Boyd

If they aint it cant be long.Lonetree is definitely on my to do list.I caught a nice wally this winter ice fishin and its got potential.I also like the fact that its a free lake!

Heard that you can get a boat on Boyd and on Lonetree. Any truth to that?

Some of the best fishermen in the state have been scratching their heads over Lonetree. There are tons of fish in there but there also is the biggest shad population that you can imagine there too. I have taken big wiper and walleye from there but never anything consistently. It is a really difficult lake to fish.
Everything here in Loveland,Ft.Collins area is open. I live at Pinewood and it is about 2/3 open .

Never fished lonetree, but Boyd should be good this year. Early spring can be great for walleyes, especially if not many were taken through the ice this year.

The State Park's HSOforum says the Barr, Boyd and Cherry Creek are now open for boating.
