Ice-out in metro area!

Fished Cherry Creek on sat. from 9:30am till 12:30pm and caught some fresh air! Walked the dam from one end to the udder throwing spinners and spoons but got skunked-the gales didnt help.Wonder if Chatfield is open?I want to get the boat out-gettin sick of ice fishin-

Hard to believe that someone has already died in a boating accident at Barr lake. I am guessing that they didn't have life jackets on their canoe when they went out.

There is about 6 feet of ice on the south shore-it shouldnt last another day or two.

Talked with a woman at Cherry Creek today and she said that they plan to have the lake open to boating on Friday morning. If that doesn't happen, it will be open on Monday for certain. She said that their information recording will be updated as soon as the boat ramps are open for launching.
