Any reports from Gross? Anyone know of a good spot to fish there? Thanks...

Gross is my favorite front range area to fish. During the low water they didn't let much water out and it was very fishable. This year last I heard it was wide open. The fishing there can be very good. Lots of fish but many small ones. There are some great fish in there as well. You can't boat it in the summer and it's impossible to fish it from shore due to the depth so Ice fishing it is the best way in my view. I've been waiting all winter for it to lock up but nothing as of yet. I did go through the ice last year out there but it was my fault. I wanted to fish it so bad I took the risk and went though twice loosing my auger. Not to scare you though. The ice gets very stable there but it takes a cold snap. The problem there is that it gets very windy and blows all the initial ice out. I wouldn't fish the dam area, even though its deep its not so good there. You'd be better off fishing the big ridge out in front of the parking lot or up in inlet.

I'm not real sure that you can ice fish there because of the fluctuating water levels, but I could be way wrong. I've only fished it during ice off and did real good on the south side of the dam.
