Williams Fork Fishing Report for 1 Jan 04

Recommended Posts

Just got back from Williams Fork, Fished just west of boat ramp in 31 Feet of water...caught over 20 Laker's with the biggest only being 4 lbs or so....using #2 Gold Swidish Pimple, Yellow flapper, and a piece of sucker meat. Fish were anywhere from on the bottom to 11 feet above the bottom,,,seemed to hit pimple while it was stopped after a little jigging sequence. Very Very Very windy, thank goodness for my Glacier.....but I need to find a way to anchor it down, or it will fly across Williams Fork. The wind was from the West
smile.gif which also meant good fishing, started fishing at 700 AM in morning ended at about 200 PM, wanted to beat the traffic home. I also used a Northland Gold Airplane jig with a white Tube, put a little sucker meat and was just as good, it really seems that just like Green Mountain Gold is the best color.

Ice was good and clear about 7-9 inches solid.

Hope this helps..

I was at Williams Fork as well over Jan 1. Fished out from the Jetti across from the campground on the East side (didn't want my 3 dogs to bother everyone by the boat ramp). Didn't even see a fish on the fish finder. Stay by the boat ramp!
