Green Mountain Reservoir

Thinking of going to Green Mountain this weekend. Was wondering if anyone has fished it recently. How about the kokanees, were they biting? Any size to the Macs? I've been out of town for a couple of weeks and would appreciate an update.

Dan Dan, I sure hate to see a question posted and no reply. I was at Grn Mtn about four weeks ago and got skunked. Twas a windy, cold, blue bird day. We fished by the big rock south of the dam. Three other groups of fishermen in the area and I only saw one laker of about 18". There was a guy fishing farther out over a 150' bottom catching 10" kokes but not many. I know this is old but at least an answer.

Never been to green mountain, where is it??? Are there any pike, or only trout.

Grn Mtn is on Hwy 9 half way between Dillon and Kremmling. Looks more like a moonscape than a lake since the drought. We drive past there quite often and I never see many guys icefishing. Guess that could be a hint.

I fished Green Mtn 2 days ago, caught 2 small kokanee in 5 hours. My buddy was there a week ago and caught only kokanee. SLOW, SLOW, SLOW~

Fished Green Mountain Saturday. Caught 9 Macs all day. My two Buddies did worse. One caught 1 Kokanee , the other nothing. The biggest Mac was 17" and the rest were 12-14". Saw one group pulling a bunch of Macs up but they were all 17" or less. Can't wait for spring Walleye fishing. Hope we have some water to fish. Good luck to all,
