WILLIAMS FORK ICE CONDITIONS

I haven't been to Williams Fork for three weeks but can't imagine the ice has deteriorated. We fished on a good clear 12" or more. At that time, guys were driving to the water from the east boat ramp. We fished from the dike and only caught lakers. I know this isn't real current but at least it's an answer that may help.

I'm heading there today. I watch the temps there just about every day. It's always cold in that part of the state. Even if it's warm everywhere else, they are always "makin ice". I'll let you know how we do.

I was at Williams Fork on Friday. Lot's of ice! No cars are allowed on the lake as they must still be draining it. It seems like there is a thin layer of ice on top, you sink down about an inch or two and a good 12-18 inches of ice under that. There was about 3-4 inches of snow on top. It was pretty lonely out there as I only saw and talked to one other guy. I only fished a couple of hours and it was pretty slow. I did have a big sucker hanging off a bobber on one of my holes and after an hour or so, I walked about 20 feet away to drill a new hole, came back and the bobber was gone. figures.
